KSG Co-Owner
Born in Brooklyn, New York to parents of Caribbean descent, Shawuki was always seen as an energetic, active, and fun-loving child. Shawuki spent the early years of his life living in the metropolitan areas of New York, first residing in Brooklyn, then eventually moving to Queens. After the completion of elementary school, Shawuki moved to Valley Stream, New York, where he attended Valley Steam South High School. During his time at South, Shawuki played both football and volleyball. In football, he played in all three phases of the game. As a volleyball player he earned the Coach’s Award for Excellence, and was an honorable mention to the Nassau County All-Conference Team. Shawuki graduated South with honors and went on to attend SUNY Binghamton. During his collegiate tenure, Shawuki was an active participant in the Binghamton University Flag Football League, the Caribbean Student Association, and became a proud member of MALIK Fraternity, Inc. Shawuki graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing with a concentration in Leadership and Consulting. After receipt of his bachelors, Shawuki continued with his involvement in sports by playing semi-professional football for the Long Island Lions.
After this brief hiatus from his academic endeavors, Shawuki returned to school to pursue his dream of becoming an attorney by attending Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. During his time at Cooley, Shawuki served as the Justice of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International, Vice President of Entertainment of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, and an Associate Editor of the Western Michigan University Cooley Journal of Practical and Clinical Law. However, the turning point of his law school career came when he and fellow KSG Co-Owner Antonio R. Burries teamed up for the Sports Law Client Competition. The two excelled in the competition as they zealously represented their soon to be free agent NFL client. The two performed so well that they took home first place. This victory would serve as the catalyst to the creation of Kinetic Sports Group. At the conclusion of his law school career, Shawuki graduated cum laude earning a spot on the Honor Roll and Dean’s List. Shawuki is now a member of the Florida Bar, District of Columbia Bar, Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International, Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society, a Canadian Football League (CFL) Certified Contract Advisor, a North Carolina Licensed Title Agent, and the recipient of the MALIK Fraternity, Inc. Brother of the Decade Award and Khalifah Award of Excellence. In his spare time, Shawuki enjoys cooking and doing home improvement projects.
